The best memories of York

(27 July 2015)    DAY 1

My colleagues and I were nicely greeted on the first day of the course by York Associates School. A welcoming lunch for all the participants with a very traditional hot cup of tea made the atmosphere so special. It was a great surprise!  We immediately made friends with the other people who were taking part in our course.  The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, which in fact enabled us the proper relations.
... And after a while we started the course. Our tutor was Mike Harrison, a young man with a good knowledge of  technology and apps. So how it started....

(28 July  2015)    DAY 2:
The second day turned out to be really busy as we all got down to work since the very morning. Mike presented all the possible tools and various applications that we could use in the classroom. My favourite was  e-poster, so I decided to make it today. It's maybe not the best in the world, but my first private one. Since it looked poor,  I have updated it recently a bit.

The whole evening we spent walking along the little streets trying to feel the charming ambiance of the city.

(29 July  2015)  DAY 3:
Another fascinating day of the training session with Mike.  We learnt about podcasting and audacity, then some of us were doing either slide shows or mind maps, which I find very useful in the classroom.
I created a map in Polish. I'm going to need it for my presentation to colleagues at work. But the other tools seemed equally useful. I'm sure I will need them in near future.
The dinner in our local pub, planning the day which follows ....

(30 July  2015) DAY 4:
The last, but one day of the course in York.  We had an assignment to a little interview with a native citizen about tourism. Well, it wasn't so difficult. Dorota asked the old man about his attitude towards the tourists during the high season and so on. Then we had to add the effects to it, clear a bit and present in fron of the group.
That day we also went to Jorvik Viking Centre to do some sightseeing and  visited the Town Walls.

We enjoyed the Evensong in the Yorkminster Cathedral together with the other participants from our school. I was under a great impression of the Cathedral itself, but the choir was singing heavenly.

(31 July 2015) DAY 5:
This is the last day of the course and our stay in York. The course ended with the evaluation, we made our final product presentations and exchanged the email addresses with the other participants. During the lunch break we talked to staff members, we met some nice people there, then finished with the presentations. Finally, after the classes we were handed in our Certificates...

We took a couple of nice photos outside the historical building of the school. We hope to keep in touch with York...

Our course group in front of the school.

I do hope that the rest of the Polish group shares my opinions...
